Example Remote View Automatic Method

This method consists of remote user click on a web page link to start Windows Media Player and connect to the Video Surveillance WebCam Software. As opposed to the Manual Method which requires the user to manually open Windows Media Player, and enter the IP address in Windows Media Player.

Remote View of Live Streaming Video

1. connect to the Video Surveillance WebCam Software with your browser
2. go to Admin Page
3. click on the Remote View shortcut link at the top of the page.
4. click enter on link, Stream live video , with config file: 1
5. in the Media Player Page, click on link 
   Connect to Live Video with Computer IP Address
   

Result: Windows Media Player should automatically popup, connect to the live video stream, and start playing live video in Windows Media Player.

If  you were connecting from the internet and were using a router or a router-modem, in step 5 above, one click on the link, Connect to Live Video with Router IP Address instead.

The automatic method is good since saves the user having to manually open Media Player and enter an ip address. Though to use a router or router-modem, program must be configured right with IP/URL.
