Web Browser Interface

The values of the parameters you see in the remote user interface web pages eg Admin Page, are default values which you may enter. They are not the actual value of the settings currently in the Video Surveillance WebCam Software. Use Get Program Status, to see the actual values.

When changing program parameters from the web pages the best procedure is:

  1. first Get Program Status - check the Video Surveillance WebCam Software's current values. 
  2. Then change the program parameters from the Admin web page. You should get a message like value changed OK.
  3. check the values with Get Program Status, make sure they are what you want.
  4. if so do Save Configuration, to save the new values into the Video Surveillance WebCam Software.

 

Do one command at a time slowly, and let the command finish with a confirmation message before, executing another command.

If the browser takes too long to respond, it might be that current browser session timed out. If so try doing a Refresh from the browser. If that fails, go to the Logon Page, do a refresh, and logon again if necessary.

If the Video Surveillance WebCam Software pops up a message box on the local computer screen and no one is there to click OK, then remote access will not work. Therefore when going to remote location to contact program, remove check beside Show Errors in Message Box and do Save Configuration.
