Global Settings Menu Location: Settings Global Settings sets some settings which apply across all of the program as oppose specific settings for a particular camera. After changing the settings do Save Configuration. Not all settings are described below, only some are provided with additional information. Startup Armed Enable to have the program startup armed or disarmed. Good if you do not want to always press the Arm button to arm the system when you start monitoring. Startup Minimized Program runs not displayed on screen but rather as a small camera icon on the task bar beside the clock. Startup Hidden Program runs without display on computer screen or icon on task bar. When hidden use keyboard hotkeys to display or hide program. See Hide Program. If you forget how to unhide program, start a second instance of the program which will start unhidden, then disable this item and do Save Configuration. For Stream File Program to start hidden, uncheck Show Program at Startup, and in the menu items of Stream File Program itself, Configure, uncheck Show Encoder when it runs, and Save Configuration. Startup Mode Select the mode you would like the program to startup in. Click OK. Do Save Configuration. Next time program starts it will startup in the program mode you selected. Show Main Video Window - Sx Window Shows or hides the Main Video Window - Sx Window while in Monitor Mode or Record Mode. Show Detection Window While in Monitor Mode the black motion detection window can be hidden or shown. It is not shown at all in Record Mode or Stream Mode. Default Camera Camera to switch to and display in the Main Video Window when in Stop Mode. Program Sets Compression Enables program to always uses the video codec selected by the user to compress video files. See menu item Program Sets Compression. Program Sets Format Enables program to always uses the video format previously selected by the user when the program starts up. See menu item Video Format. One can disable Program Sets Format at startup with the command line option monitor.exe /f in case setting the format hangs the a driver. Separate Camera Brightness Enables the program to adjust the camera brightness and contrast for each individual camera. So each camera can have its own brightness settings. Set individual camera brightness from the Camera Configuration dialog by the Camera Brightness button - displayed by clicking the numeric keypad in the Monitoring Control Window.
