Run Program

To run the Video Surveillance WebCam Software click on the following short cut buttons in the Monitoring Control Window or use the menu item commands. The program runs in four basic modes/states listed below.

Record

Starts recording video to file from all enabled cameras. No motion detection is used. This is called Record Mode.

Monitor

Starts recording video to file based on motion detection from all enabled cameras. This is called Monitor Mode.

Stream

Starts streaming live video from all enable cameras to a remote user over the internet. This is called Stream Mode

 Stop

Stops, recording, monitoring, or streaming. This is called Stop Mode. Use Stop Mode to configure the program. Then run the program.

Review Video

Shows and plays back the video captured files in Media Player which were created with Record or Monitor.

Arm/Disarm

Activates or deactivates alarms if they have been enabled.

 

To Configure Program

  1. To enable and configure cameras, click on the number pad buttons 0 through 10, in the Monitoring Control Window.
  2. Use menu item Settings, to change the program settings to your needs.

The Remote User Interface can also be used to switch program modes, and change program settings.

In Stop Mode, all menu items and dialog features are available for modification. In other Modes some of the menu items may be grayed out. Therefore use Stop Mode to be able change any program parameters.

When switching program states for best operation wait for the operation to finish, before pressing another button.
