Monitor Start

Menu Location: Monitor - Monitor Start

Starts the program to start monitoring for any motion detection. The right part of the main window will turn black. Any motion detected will show up as a white outline of the object which is in motion. No motion - no white outline of the object. If Scanning is enabled, starts scanning multiple cameras. If Show All Camera Windows, is enabled shows all camera windows.

To adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection go to menu item Settings, Program Parameters, and change the settings as shown in the dialog. The main settings which effect motion detection are Threshold, and Sensitivity. To set sound on motion detection, which helps you calibrate the motion detection e.g. as you walk around the room, go to menu item Settings, Alarms, Enable Alarms, and check off, Make Sound when Motion Detected.

After your satisfied with the detection sensitivity, go to menu item, Monitor, and click Enable Capture to File. This will start saving  frames (pictures) to file, for which there was any motion detected.

Note: To see the captured video file, stop Monitor Mode, and go to File, Open Video File, and review the video, or double click on the file name from Windows Explorer, or Start Windows Media Player and open the file with it.
